Notice & Takedown (Notificación y retirada de contenido)

Version 2026-10-07 · Effective October 7, 2026 · Courtesy translation — the Spanish text governs

Plain-language summary (not legally binding): if you see content on Traveluns that is illegal or breaks our Terms, report it with the app’s “Report” option or email contact@traveluns.com with the subject “Notice”. We confirm receipt, normally review it within 48 hours and tell you our decision. If we remove something of yours, we tell you why and how to challenge it.

1. Scope

This page explains how to report illegal content and content that breaks the Terms of Service on Traveluns — shared trips, profiles, photos, comments, polls and public preview links — and what we do with those reports. It is based on the EU Digital Services Act (DSA, Arts. 16–18) and applies equally to users worldwide.

2. How to Report

  • Use the app’s Report option on the item itself or in the trip member’s menu, or email contact@traveluns.com with the subject “Notice”.
  • So that we can act on it, your notice should contain:
    • an explanation of why you consider the content illegal or in breach of the Terms;
    • its exact location: the link or, if you don’t have one, the trip or profile and a description of the content;
    • your name and email address (not required if you are reporting child sexual abuse material);
    • a statement that the notice is accurate and made in good faith.

3. What We Do With Your Notice

  • We confirm receipt and review the notice promptly, typically within 48 hours.
  • We may use automated tools (the automated content-safety review of images and videos, and malware scanning) together with human review.
  • We tell you our decision and whether automated means were involved.

4. Statement of Reasons to the Uploader

When we remove or restrict content, or suspend an account, we tell the affected user: what we did, the facts it is based on, the legal or contractual ground, whether automated means were used, and how to challenge the decision.

5. Objections & Internal Complaints

Both the person who reported and the affected user can object to our decision by replying to it within 6 months. A person reviews the objection, and we tell you the outcome.

6. Other Redress

You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body (DSA Art. 21), where one is available, or to the courts. None of this affects your rights as a consumer.

7. Threats to Life or Safety & Child Sexual Abuse Material

  • Where we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence that threatens the life or safety of persons, we report it to the competent authorities.
  • Child sexual abuse material is treated with zero tolerance: we remove it, terminate the account, preserve evidence, and report it to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or competent authorities where the law requires or permits (see Section 7 of the Terms).

8. Misuse

After a prior warning, we may suspend people who frequently post manifestly illegal content, or who frequently submit manifestly unfounded notices.

9. Copyright

For copyright complaints you can also use the DMCA process described in Section 12 of the Terms.
